Qualified Supervision for LMHC

Qualified Supervision for LMHC in Florida
(Must be local to Tallahassee due to state requirements to alternate in-person and virtual supervision)

Supervision and training are an integral part of development as a professional mental health provider.  As a Qualified Supervisor in the State of Florida, I would love to help you gain the additional insights and feedback that can help advance you in your career and improve the quality of your service provision to clients.  As licensed clinicians, we are the gatekeepers of our profession, and it is our shared responsibility to ensure that our services are provided in ethical and legally compliant manner as this protects the wellbeing of clients.

There is any number of challenges involved when beginning your career as a mental health professional from site-based and setting-related challenges, to both client and personal factors.  Supervision ensures that the highest quality of care is provided to your clients both now and as you enter future independent practice.  Supervision sessions will focus on navigating tangible difficulties as well as enhancement of clinical stills such as diagnosis and treatment planning, navigating transference and countertransference,  specific case conceptualizations and treatment approaches, ethical & legal dilemmas, and appropriate personal and professional boundaries.

Provision of Qualified Supervision Services will begin with an interview where we will review your prior education and experience, ensure that you meet necessary criteria and state requirements to begin or continue a registered internship. We want to make sure that we will be a good fit for each other regarding your supervision needs, current work environment and future career goals.   We will review a supervision contract discussing any applicable fees, expectations and terms of the agreement.  If we agree to work together in a supervisory relationship, I will submit necessary paperwork to the FL Board of CSW, MHC, MFT and will document meeting dates, times and themes discussed as expected by state guidelines.

Workshops, Presentations, and Community Outreach

Workshops, Presentations & Community Outreach
Customizable according to your needs and my skills

I can provide presentations, workshops or trainings on mental health related topics to groups, schools, organizations or families.  This is not mental health treatment and is not a clinical service, but is able to provide education and preliminary information that individuals can use to increase their understanding, develop tools and enhance application of coping strategies in themselves and their interpersonal relationships.  The format that best serves your group can be discussed and we can collaboratively develop a plan to serve your needs.  I can work with adults, teens and children in this format, and can incorporate an experiential or art-based component using my qualification as an art therapist if requested.  Please contact me for more information and to collaborate about this option.  Common topics include Understanding Anxiety, Healthy Coping, Healthy Communication, and more.

Pricing for Services

The Cost for group supervision can be shared between supervises, and as the state of Florida allows for two individuals to meet with supervisor for Individual supervision, the fee for shared supervision can be adjusted as well.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
