Helpful Resources

A Video by Liz Edrington, a believer and mental health provider who speaks on Anxiety and a Christian perspective.

These are common unhelpful ways of thinking.  Recognizing when they are occurring can help us observe when we need to challenge and change our thoughts. 

Truly it was a great journey, and in it I met with many, whom to know was to love but whom never could I see again; for life has.

This is a youtube video playlist that can walk kids through a number of deep breathing exercises with visualizations to help them remember the process.  Experiment with different ones to find what helps your child. 

This video will instruct in 10 different grounding techniques that children can use when needing help to stop spiraling thoughts or anxiety and focus on the present moment.

This video is in 2 parts, it will guide kids through progressive muscle relaxation of the muscles of the face, then of the body.  Feel free to use the half of the video most useful to your child.  The creators also have two separate videos that can be accessed independently.
